The Gruppo Scientifico Italiano Studi e Ricerche organizes the Workshop "Norme e tecniche per il campionamento di acqua, suolo e aria". Sampling is the first and crucial phase of the environmental reasearch: the quality of the sampling process reflects on the quality of the collected data.

Macerata 20-21 September 2010, Workshop on Statistical Surveys

The two days workshop aims to gather together researchers discussing on methodological and applicative issues in surveys design.

This year’s workshop will take place in Nürnberg (Germany) from 30th August to 1st September, and will be organised by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and coordinated by Annelies Blom (Mannheim) in cooperation with the local organising committee consisting of Andy Peytchev (RTI), Frauke Kreuter (Maryland) and Annette Jäckle (Essex).

International Total Survey Error Workshop (ITSEW) Stoweflake Resort and Spa in Stowe, VT from June 13-16, 2010.

The International Total Survey Error Workshop (ITSEW) is an ongoing series of annual workshops. The purpose of ITSEW is to enable researchers, survey practitioners, and problem owners (for example from official statistics agencies) interested in total survey error to meet on a regular basis to i) Review progress on important problems; ii)Define pressing current problems in detail, and articulate a research agenda to address them; iii)Form research collaborations to carry out needed research; iv) Identify emerging research needs at an early stage

Similarly to its predecessors, the Q2010 Conference will offer participants a platform for high-level discussions on various types of quality issues and methodological aspects of statistics production.
